Under the direction of the Director of Camping Services and in accordance with the purpose, policy and principles of the YMCA of Central New Mexico, this position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Staff Wellness and Office Lead maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth, and provides quality experience to both youth and their families.
The Staff Wellness and Office Leader is responsible to assist the directors with staff support and office tasks. This position is responsible for assisting in creation and management of the daily schedule of camp, supervising counselors, and their cabin groups, and ensuring the success of each resident camp program aspect. The Staff Wellness and Office Leader collaborates with all Leadership and Support staff members to ensure excellence in camper and staff experience and program delivery. They communicate important updates with all staff, including counselors, kitchen staff and medic, helping to monitor the overall camp experience. Preferably 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record. Previous experience working with children of school age is important.
